Has It BEEN That LONG? An Update
Wow. I can't believe I've gone for so many days without posting on VZDemocrats Blog. Hope you guys can forgive me, but I've been busy with a lot (and I do mean **a lot**) of projects these past few days.
For starters, this week was the kickoff for the Council of Van Zandt County Communities letters of support drive for adoption of a Nuisance Ordinance in Van Zandt County. The Council's goal is to get 1,500 signatures on the support letters by March 16, the deadline to turn them in. The council will go before the Van Zandt County Commissioners Court on March 22 concerning this matter. Visit the CVZCC website for more information on this project.
Also, I've started another "little" project called Texas Politics. Plus, I've been frequently contributing over at the Political State Report, not to mention trying to install Moveable Type (unsuccessfully, I might add) for Texas Politics. And, on top of that, I've been doing all my regular work plus taking care of my dog, which is almost a full time job in and of itself.
On the VZC Political Front:
Did anyone say SIGNS? Vicki Looney, Mike Joyner, Kelles Miller, Buck Kuel and other candidates have been busy putting up their signs in recent days. Also, I've noticed a Republican sign or two, mainly for their Sheriff's candidate. In Precinct 4, you can't go anywhere without seeing Constable signs for Wilson & Jordan, both of whom are deffectors from our party.
EARLY VOTING
Can you guys believe EARLY VOTING actually starts the 25th? I can't.
Anyway, I'd like to note that we earned a little recognition today on the Yellow Dog Blog. I'm also pleased to note that I've been asked to be a contributor over there! Of course, my VZDemocrats duties will always come first!
