NOTICE OF APPLICATIONS

NOTICE

REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT TO
LEADERSHIP POSITIONS WITHIN DEMOCRATIC PARTY OF VAN
ZANDT COUNTY, TEXAS

TO ALL DEMOCRATS IN VAN ZANDT COUNTY, TEXAS:

In accordance with the RULES OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY OF
TEXAS, Article III, Section E, Subsection 7, Paragraph (c), the County Chairman
and the County Executive Committee may establish such committees and
officers as it deems appropriate to carry out the non-statutory duties of the party.

THEREFORE, in accordance with the rules as stated above, applications
are now being accepted for the following positions and offices of the Democratic
Party of Van Zandt County:

CHAIRMAN, MINORITY VOTER OUTREACH PROGRAMS
CHAIRMAN, YOUTH VOTER OUTREACH PROGRAMS
CHAIRMAN, RURAL VOTER OUTREACH PROGRAMS
VICE CHAIRMAN, RURAL VOTER OUTREACH PROGRAMS (4,
ONE EACH FROM COMM. PCTS. 1-4)

CHAIRMAN, TELEPHONE COMMITTEE
MEMBERS (6), TELEPHONE COMMITTEE
CHAIRMAN, COMMITTEE ON HOSPITALITY
MEMBERS (6), COMMITTEE ON HOSPITALITY
CHAIRMAN, NEIGHBORHOOD CANVASSING PROGRAMS (ONE
EACH FOR EACH INCORPORATED MUNICIPALITY IN THE COUNTY AS
FOLLOWS: FRUITVALE, EDOM, GRAND SALINE, VAN, CANTON, WILLS
POINT, EDGEWOOD)
VICE CHAIRMAN, NEIGHBORHOOD CANVASSING PROGRAMS
(ONE EACH FOR EACH INCORPORATED MUNICIPALITY IN THE COUNTY
AS FOLLOWS: FRUITVALE, EDOM; AND TWO FROM EACH MUNICIPALITY
AS FOLLOWS: VAN, EDGEWOOD, GRAND SALINE, AND THREE FROM
EACH INCORPORATED MUNICIPALITY AS FOLLOWS: CANTON, WILLS
POINT)

REQUIREMENTS for the positions above are as follows:

Applicants must be a qualified Texas voter over 18 years of age residing
in Van Zandt County who supports the Democratic Party and voted in the March
9, 2004 Primary, or will agree to sign a statement of affiliation with the
Democratic Party. In addition, where so stated, applicants must be a resident of
the municipality or precinct the position will serve.

DESCRIPTION of the positions may be obtained on the Party’s official
Website, www., or by contacting the COUNTY CHAIRMAN at

APPLICANTS should submit a letter indicating why the wish to hold the
said position (including their complete full name and address as it appears on
their voter registration card), and a brief resume or statement of their
qualifications including but not necessarily limited to their activities in Democratic
Party activities, and any candidates or campaigns for which they have actively
worked.

THOSE selected to serve shall serve as volunteers and without
compensation.

APPLICATIONS must be postmarked by midnight, June 15, 2004 to be
considered, and should be mailed to COUNTY CHAIRMAN, ATT:
APPLICATIONS, P.O. Box 217, Canton, Texas 75103.

FINAL appointments shall be made no later than June 30, 2004.

THIS notice was posted in the Van Zandt County Courthouse and online
at www.VZDemocrats.com, and submitted to local newspapers of general
circulation in Van Zandt County for publication.
