Chairman Vince Leibowitz
Announcing New Executive Secretary (May 1, 2004)
CANTON, Texas--Hon. Vince Leibowitz, (D-Canton) County Chairman of the
Democratic Party of Van Zandt County, on Saturday announced the appointment
of Hon. Michael Anne White (D-Van) as Executive Secretary of the Democratic
Party of Van Zandt County.
White is a 20-year resident of Van Zandt County and a longtime Democrat. A
successful small business woman, she has operated a catering business and a
women's boutique. She is presently managing her husband's law office, The
Law Office of Jeff White in Canton, a position she has held for the past six
years.
White grew up in Dallas and is a graduate of Dallas Christian School. She
has also attended Henderson County Junior College.
She and her husband Jeff, a former Assistant Criminal District Attorney in
Van Zandt County, live in Van with their children, Alex and Landry. The
couple's oldest daughter, Kristin Smith, lives in Georgia with her husband,
Justin, and their none-month-old son, Aiden.
"I am very excited about Michael Anne working with the Democratic Party,"
said County Chair Vince Leibowitz.
"Michael Anne is an active Democrat who brings much experience and knowledge
to our party. We look forward to working with the Executive Committee and
Democrats throughout the county to help elect Democrats to office and
promote the ideals of the Democratic Party," he continued. |
